Bio.

Joshua Wellington Wong is a Los Angeles-based pianist and composer. Joshua currently studies at UCLA with renowned pianists Otmaro Ruiz, Tamir Hendelman, and Grammy award-winning artist, Arturo O’Farrill. Joshua graduated with top honors from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts in 2021 under the direction of Alex Hahn and has also performed in the top Jazz ensembles at the Colburn School of Music under the direction of Lee Secard.

He has performed at LACMA in award ceremonies honoring Quincy Jones and Bobby Bradford, a Jazz seminar with Herbie Hancock and the US Department of Education, the Hollywood Bowl, the Newport Jazz Festival, and recorded at Capitol Records. Joshua worked at 1908 Scoring Studios as a composer’s assistant and has worked on multiple commercials and feature films for Netflix, Peter Facinelli, and more.

Joshua has performed, collaborated, and recorded with many renowned musicians and artists including the likes of Kris Bowers, Ben Proudfoot, DJ Khalil, Clayton Cameron, Gary Pratt, Alex Hahn, Devin Daniels, Will Brahm, Darynn Dean, Luca Alemano, Anthony Fung, and Angelo Velasquez. Joshua has received awards in composition, Jazz performance, and ensemble playing from DownBeat Magazine, YoungArts, Spotlight, and many other arts foundations. Joshua performs at numerous concert halls, restaurants, hospitals, convalescent homes, homeless shelters, and more. He also enjoys teaching private and group music lessons.
